wren's blog: As seen through the eye of a camera

Posted on Aug 15, 2011 5:59 PM

I love to take pictures, but not your usual picture. No pictures of parties, people or common things.  I love to look at things around me.

Join me as I travel through my world as see things through the eye of my camera

Many years ago I so close up pictures of flowers and bugs and even common things and the desire to cature some of these on film bit.

I get my first camera a Olympic manuel 35mm with a 50 mm macro lens.  With that camera and lens I was able to take pictures of wildflowers, bugs, landscapes, sunsets and fireworks.  But the price of film and processing help me back.

No fast forward. Eight years ago I get my first Digital camera and now I have my second Digital camera, 4 macro lens, and a telephoto lens.  And the world once more is coming into focus. I do have a lot to learn and relearn but I am enjoying it greatly.

Come see the world through the lens of my camera

My new passion is butterflys and thier caterpillars.  I am planning to build a butterfly house this winter so I can raise and take pictures of the stages of their lifes

Here is a 3 of the Black Swallowtail caterpillers that had me scrambling to find plants to keep them feed.  One day I have to go on a 4 hour round trip to get fennel and parsley plants for them.
