Ahh, mowing the lawn is becoming tedious! I remember the times when I used to enjoy it. I mean, I do kind of like the meditative qualities it brings with it, but I've noticed that that happens only when I have more time, when I can lose myself and can really enjoy the mowing. And when the weather is nice. And when I have a good reason for the lawn to look nice and cut that day.
I guess I'm just complaining and airing out haha because I would rather spend that mowing time on growing herbs, and plants, and flowers.
To be honest, my garden and the lawn aren't even all that big. But recently it's been two places I've been mowing it. At home, and at my mom's house during the weekend. She also seems to enjoy gardening and growing stuff more than mowing. So I help her out. She has this corded mower though, it works well but it's sort of on the smaller side... so it takes time to mow and then there's the messing about with the extension cord that I'm not a super big fan of.
At my own house we've been using a battery mower now, for the last year or so. Before that we had a gas mower but since I live in CA, we need to be CARB compliant and it makes sense too. So yes, mowing mowing mowing. We also have these small patches of grass at the back end of the yard, behind the trees. I'd need a mile-long extension cord to mow these if I had the corded mower here. So we got a battery mower. I'm sure it's more expensive than the corded one but I like that I can take it around without thinking too much where I'm going.
Ok this was a long rant about mowing :). Glad to get it off my chest haha. I'll go and see how my herbs are doing now, and maybe one day I'll get one of those robot mowers so I don't have to do any mowing at all.
