Christmas has come and gone. Got all the Christmas stuff put away. New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Done. Thank God ... no more turkey until ... whenever. And I have ROOM in my Freezer again!!! Yay!!
I think January is my least favorite month of the entire year. I don't feel like doing a damn ... thing. It's very cold right now and going to stay that way for a least the next 2 weeks. The last few days have been overcast and we expect some snow in the next day or so. Even the birds outside aren't flocking to the feeders like they usually do. The deer, too, aren't coming around as frequently as they had been, but I always have bird seed or some apples to give them when they do. It's funny ... but I can easily recognize some of the ones that do come round. There's a mama and her 2 babies that have been coming around since late Spring, early Summer. I loved watching her little twin fawns play when they first started visiting. The twins are both females, and one of them has a WHITE spot (sort of like a dab of white paint) right in the middle of her forehead. So, I called her White Spot! They are still regular visitors.
I'm not a big fan of snow, but I love taking photos of snowy landscapes. I had nice photos that I had taken last year that I'd transferred to my old computer, but I lost them when my computer crashed a few months ago. Had to buy a new computer (bought an all-in-one) and I'm still learning my way around it. I did KEEP the old hard drive. I talked to someone at STAPLES (where I bought new computer) and they told me they probably would be able to get them off the old computer. I sure do hope so. I've got some nice pics on it!
February is BIG Birthday month for me, family wise. Me, my son, 1 granddaughter, 2 nieces, 2 sisters-in-law, and 1 nephew. February 14th is also a double-header ... Valentine's Day happens to be mine and my hubby's 23rd Wedding Anniversary, too!
As for as gardening goes, not much going on. I do have some beautiful Amaryllis plants blooming inside right now. My Thanksgiving Cactus started to bloom right around Thanksgiving and lasted until a little after Christmas.
