Small rosette succulent with white, tubular flowers from a few widely separated locations in Baja California, including islands. Leaves may be green or bluish green, or glaucous white (especially in the sun), with red edges and tips when stressed. The plant may be solitary or divide into clumps of up to a dozen rosettes. Different geographical forms may have distinct chromosome counts (at least 4 have been identified). Found on a few islands, including Cedros, Magdalena, Partida, and Espiritu Santo, corresponding to locations at the midpoint of the peninsula, about 3/4 of the way down, and near the end.
