In my climate ( SW VA, edge of zones 6/7) White Chocolate is everything a person could want in a daylily. It grows vigorously here, has abundant scapes and blooms for a long time. It blooms just a little bit past mid season. Because it grows rather vigorously, I've divided it about every 3-4 years. It never sulks after division, if anything, it grows more vigorously. Highly recommend for climates where dormants do well!

I received White Chocolate from Pat Ball in Spring this year and planted in a large pot. WC didn't bloom until after I left to go Up North for the summer so I didn't get to see or photograph it. Checking the scapes later in the summer, I had 11+ buds and 2 scapes on a TF with 3-way W branching. Planted in-ground now and hope to see blooms next late spring. No rust has been evident this year.
Life is better at the lake.

Not planted here in the most desirable location, so probably not given its full potential. The bloom is attractive, but with perhaps less of the "chocolate" than I expected. I prefer the slight tan tint of early morning. In productivity, it is upstaged by Isabelle Rose and short of registered height. Blooms are well spaced on somewhat spreading scapes. This picture suggests more of the chocolate tone than other pics.

Very little chocolate here, in fact, it is very white in this garden. Weather this year has not been kind to plants, so perhaps next year, this one will perk up and perform better. Certainly it is very pretty, and more blooms would really show it off.

I'm just confused by some comments. White Chocolate, used in cooking, is a creamy white color………so Margo didn't intend to suggest this daylily was any color besides creamy white.

I was a little confused also, but looking at the photos in the database the blooms often have some green or more often yellow mixed in the creamy white. At first I thought maybe people were expecting a mixture of creamy white and chocolate brown.

I think the name suits it perfectly. White Chocolate is very creamy white (as Julie mentioned) and that is exactly what this bloom looks like. I do find though that white blooming daylilies often do a have a pale yellow or green "eye" when they first bloom in the morning.
