Could find no label today, will have to check my map later. I liked this color also and it was a large bloom, maybe even extra large, but did not measure it.

Found no label on this one today.

(Sdlg x Luanne Tarro) x Bone Shadows: I seem to have more darker blooms this year finally. This one was darker in real life.

Maybe it's just the nice lighting on the photograph, but I really like the looks of Heart's Treasure x Wonder of it All. And Dave, you must have had a big ol' smile on your face the first time you saw Lillian's Big Owie x NoID.

Lillian's Big Owie x NoID ! From the April sdlg thread, really like the Legs Limmer x Spider Spirits sdlg too with it's pink stippled halo and curling, very cute.

Larry, you're getting some really nice relief sdlgs this year! (((Always Afternoon x Bluegrass Memories) x (Bowtie Affair x Yoga Man)) x Debra Scott) is pretty with the relief and ruffles. The Nazca Hummingbird x Fire Marshall Bill (also from the April sdlg thread) sdlg has good relief. I also like the thin white edge with the red. The blotchy color looks like water got into the bud. If you look at the bud behind the bloom you'll see the tip is wide open. Hopefully it's just the weather or a new sdlg thing

Today the second bloom looked much better, certainly not splotchy from rain, but I could have gotten careless with the hose.

It looks a lot like its parent, Fire Marshall Bill.

Papa Slow-Poke x Groove-billed Ani:

Buddy's Black Jack x Groove-billed Ani: This is exactly what I was going far, except I wanted sculpted relief. Still, I like the dark blooms.

Orange Electric x Desiderata: Like the other ugly one it is actually more brown and orange, and appears to be broken color. There are only a few broken color blooms that appeal to me and this is not one of them.

Yes Larry the second NH X FMB bloom looks much better. This one is pretty, Papa Slow-Poke x Groove-billed Ani. I like the edges you have on some of your seedlings.

Ladies and Gents - Many of the crosses posted are just gorgeous! Amazing what two cultivars can produce! Sometimes they are not as good as their parents and other times they far exceed their parents! It's always a surprise to see! Y'all have got some real winners!

I used to keep markers on the seedling I've grown, but over the years, my daylily long term survival rate has been pretty low. Most of my daylilies rarely live past 3 years. I get blooms and maybe an increase of a fan or two, but by year 3, they are gone. I live in a very hot climate and deal with root knot nematodes. It has gotten so disappointing that I don't even try to keep track of the crosses much any more. I have been very close to just giving up entirely on growing daylilies, but I just haven't been able to say a permanent farewell.....
So I find myself buying seeds from folks here and from the Lily Auction so that I can continue to grow daylilies relatively cheap (via seeds). I just can't bring myself to spend a lot of money anymore on named cultivars that only last a short time.

Some of my currently surviving seedlings have started blooming. I don't even know how old these daylilies are. I think these have surpassed the 3 year mark because they are still in the areas I originally planted them in from about 3-4 years ago. Unfortunately, I didn't keep track of their parentage like I used to. So forgive me for posting these current seedling bloom photos without info of what cross they came from.

Nice, Becky, those are lovely! Maybe they will remain acclimated to your zone, since they've made it this far…
