I think you will like them. We prefer them over the green ones. They don't get bitter. As they age they will become darker yellow and that is when they are a bit overripe and may start to have hollow places, and also they may not feel firm. Mostly they are tennis ball size when they are ready.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.
