Well, I've been putting the new greenhouse to good use. Lots of good things to say about it including:

* Anchored into concrete, it's been sturdy in high wind and rain storms. No leaks.
* It has protected MANY plants in a spring that has been 2 weeks later than usual, with chilly temps this morning, April 28th in 6a Michigan down to 27 degrees. Greenhouse temp with heater: 68 degrees.
* Electricity is from a nearby outdoor outlet. There is 220 wiring that was used for the spa. We may just leave it as is for now as the electrical setup is working just fine. Solar lights illuminate the space beautifully at night. (See original blog post for photo.)
* Zinnias and tomatoes are sprouting with heat mats. Sweet peas too. I planted later than usual, but with these cold temps, that's ok! There is much better light in the greenhouse than my one south windowsill with grow lights.
* It was gratifying to plant veggies and flowers in cells sheltered in the greenhouse while it rained outside.
* The 360 degree heater with a thermostat is up to the job keeping the greenhouse warm enough in this spring weather. It is pictured in the photo near the trees, a new willow in leaf and a fig tree sprout hiding behind it.
* It looks like it will be a 3 season greenhouse just fine. Innl winter, with protective wrapping around plants, we can use it to protect potted tulips and other plants that need just a little extra protection, including a potted fig tree.
* The only minus is that the door can fly open in high winds, so we keep it shut with a heavy brick.
* More to come. So far, so good.
