Thanks, I still have 4 and a half beds to finish, but it's been raining for 3 days, so I haven't been able to work on them. It rained through the night too, so not sure I'll be able to do anything today unless I want to play in the mud. Earl of Essex has 4 stalks showing color, so it will probably be the first tall one to bloom as usual. Looks like things are going to be about a week early this year.

My cherry tree is shedding it's petals, so you see some white dots on the pictures.

So, Tom, FYI I spoke too soon. Today I discovered that 2 of my earliest iris that live in my sunniest bed, Dark Universe and Color Capers, have put out bloom stalks.

Both of those have stalks here too.

I forgot to post Backtrack yesterday, don't know how I missed that one.

Now I have to wait until it gets light enough to see what else might have opened.

It is a really true pink, I got it from our club's iris sale in 2021, first time it's bloomed for me. It hasn't been a fast grower like most SDB's so I don't have enough to share yet, maybe next year I can send you some.
