I wrote this long ago and sent it but the article is just getting published now. Those Emperor Tulips have been coming up every spring since and it was many, many years ago.

Think the Emperor tulips are a Fosteriana Tulip, which is a species I have some Kaufmania tulips that have been coming up for the last 7 years, they are also a species tulip.

I have had Red Emperor repeat for several years. My most perennial Tulips are Darwin Hybrids.....when the Deer don't eat them........
