ATP Podcast #109: Working Your Land

By dave
May 24, 2017

This episode is a little different from our usual gardening topics. Today we discuss some of our thoughts and ideas of living a semi self-sufficient lifestyle, and we talk about growing animals for food.

Each podcast you do I think "ok this is so wonderful! It doesn't get any better than this"
Well I was wrong! 109 was so interesting, funny, and very helpful. I could have a LOT more of that topic.
I loved Trish "We go to Walmart every time we NEED junk food"
You guys are such an amazing family! I wish we were neighbors!
(Accept I can barely stand Texas to visit my Mom, I can't get her to move back to Oregon D'Oh! )
It is so easy to get overwhelmed, and so easy to take the wrong advise on becoming self sufficient and self reliant. I'm very grateful for you sharing how you provide for your family. What works and what doesn't.
I totally love your philosophy keeping things as fun as you can so the children are enjoying life and keeping an open mind.
Thank you to Bruce for the question and thank you Trish and Dave for putting out this GREAT podcast. Group hug

*Blush* Thanks, Toni!
Some podcasts are easier than others, and this was also one of our favorite kinds to do- where we're just sitting around chatting with 2000+ of our friends about how life goes Lovey dubby

I just loved this podcast. I love hearing all the things you do and have done. The gentleman in CT needs to see the photo's of you and the children when you butchered one of your cows. Green Grin!

For me personally, you brought back so many memories of things we did so many years ago in building and gardening even though you folks have gone far beyond what we ever did. But yes, it was FUN! We always had fun.

Thank you Dave and Trish!

The camera isn't the first thing I think of when we are butchering.
I did find a few, though Green Grin!
