Just wanted to say thanks for this podcast, first one I've listened to from you two and can tell it's going to become a regular on my playlist. I appreciate your honest feedback on the hassles with making a living off your homestead as I've been contemplating such things lately. Your last comments about not trying to get EVERYTHING done and enjoying it, and making sure your children see your enjoyment for it and not the stress involved greatly spoke to me. I often find myself stressed about how much I have to get done as I'm usually working long hours during the week. I find myself only having a few hours a week to really work on my garden which really stresses me out at times. But at the same time I want my children to learn to appreciate and enjoy this hobby that I have come to love so late in life. If only I had figured out sooner how much more I enjoyed working with my hands outdoors instead of sitting in front of a computer all day. May be too late for me but hope to pass this knowledge along to my children so they don't make the same mistake.
