Whitepeony Pt Defiance Rose gardens in Tacoma grows James Galway, but they keep him trimmed like a shrub. I am not sure why. When I saw him in spring twice, he was over 10 foot (no blooms), now 3 foot and no blooms or buds last week. I went to see him specifically as I just wanted to smell a bloom...no luck. I have 2 Madame Aflred Carrier that are in pots, but still climb and bloom all summer in full sun. I even rooted 2 more as a try.

rhondadoodle Are you on the wet side of WA? I am so curious about James G, but Pt. Defiance hasn't been any help.
