The other day it was time to change the water in my hummingbird feeders again. I took them both down and brought them into the house to clean and refill. Afterward, I hung them back up again, but a few minutes later I decided to switch them. I have one that the perch screw broke so I have it held on with duck tape. I no sooner had them switched when I turned around and there was already a hummer on the feeder with the duck tape in the new location. I got my camera and sat waiting to get pictures before it got too dark. I try to sit pretty still so as not to scare the little guys away. I kept turning my head from one feeder to the other, but no more birds. When all of a sudden, I saw something in my peripheral vision over my head. I looked up, and there hovering above my head at about an arms length away, was a hummingbird! He was checking me out! I guess she wanted to know if I was carrying a gun that could hurt her, or a camera! I guess she found out.
