Today I trashed a few paintings that had no promice.
Started some small sketches as warm ups,feeling better about it all.

Since it's almost 100% humidity I will just paint all day.
Started these this AM. The big poppy needs help.Fix it tomorrow.
Scrub out part and overpaint more detail.
This one will get more background and some buds
I had company over a few days ago. The wife asked if I had any new paintings so we went to the studio and looked thru what was there including the small studies of the begonia bloom I started last Feb.
I also realized I didnt have any paintings of Poppies or white birches.
My urge to stay in the studio and out of the heat has spurred me on to start on a new inventory of both.
Here are some sketches of both. Just ideas for composition.
