Yep, the snakes are crawling, copulating, and racing. Yesterday I saw 2 Black Racers in the yard all coiled up together. I actually saw them in two different places at two different times. The male was about 4 1/2 ft. 🐍
I had a nightmare about them last night. Ugh!
I gave away most of the citrus because it seems I may be allergic to it. I ate some tangerines last evening and started itching like crazy. Does that happen to anyone else? 🍊
We are going back down tonight to 42*. 🌞🌞🌞
I went back to the lady's house yesterday evening and bagged up 5 bags of those leaves that I had raked. Then I ran out of bags. I did what I could and the yard waste can is full anyway. I put 2 very full bags at the back of the house and she will have to wait for another week to put them out. There are still 4 piles of leaves that need bagged.
I got a huge bag of citrus. Oranges and Tangerines! I froze some of each kind and will use the zest and juice later for cakes.
Including a pic of my biggest basket full of citrus. Enjoy!
DH does not have a blood clot in his leg. We are so relieved. He pulled a hamstring 2 months ago and it has not healed, but his pain was so bad that I wanted him to get an ultrasound to just be sure. He had the US yesterday and he is ok. It will just take time to heal. Also, he cannot walk, bend, or squat so I'm having to make sure he does what the doc says.
We have had some lovely weather and my azalea's are starting to bloom. The ones behind us are blooming like crazy. When they get all the way out I will post a pic.
I didn't even have to wear a hoodie on my morning walk, just a sweater. I have never been a sweater wearer, but now that my blood is so thinned out I will be adding a few to my wardrobe. Nickel store here I come.
The big Redbud tree 2 streets over is starting to bloom. Pretty soon it will be Redbud winter and very cold again.
My rose cuttings are getting growth, but not at the bottom. I sure hope they don't rot. I read @lysmachiamoons blog today and she is having the same issue. I really, really want those roses so I can have that sweet smell around the patio garden in future.
Things are coming alive here and waking up. The winter sleep is almost over and I've got so many flowers coming up. I see Nigella, little baby ferns, bunches of Hardy Poinsettias, and Pink Baby's Breath popping up every day. If it keeps this up my patio garden should be overflowing this year. I also have Red Fountain Grass coming up in that garden. Life is good.🌞🌞🌞
