Disappointed
Posted on Apr 25, 2020 12:33 PM

One of my pepper seeds emerged through the soil! I (was) very excited. It was my first ever pepper seed to sprout in the soil! It was pretty tall as well. I'd say about half an inch. "Why is this disappointing?" You may ask. Because, watch what happens next!

My youngest child yanked it out!! I was VERY disappointed. My first pepper seed sprout ever and it was ruined by a yank out of soil.

I tried replanting it, but I'm not sure it will survive. Will it survive?

So angry at myself too D'Oh! D'Oh! D'Oh!

Haworthia Transplant
Posted on Apr 22, 2020 1:08 PM

Today I'm going to transplant my Haworthia succulent. It's become root-bound in the little pot I have it in currently, but that is soon going to change. I'm probably going to plant it in the ground, instead of a bigger pot.

This is the plant:

My pepper seeds haven't shown any signs of emerging. It's been 5 days, but it feels like 2 weeks lol.

I'll keep you guys updated, and get back to you when I've got some good news!

First banner!
Posted on Apr 20, 2020 4:55 PM

I'm very excited right now, because a banner I submitted was approved! And many of you are probably thinking: "ah, it's just a banner! Why are you so excited?", but it's very exciting for me because it's my first banner!

The picture is a picture of a bee on my Waxleaf Privet tree in full bloom. The bee is a carpenter bee (or more commonly, "black bee").

Here is the picture:

And I submitted 2 others without even knowing that one of mine was already approved LOL.

Anyway, just thought I'd check in and tell you guys. Happy gardening! Thumbs up

Good news all around!
Posted on Apr 18, 2020 6:04 PM

I'm very excited right now. Very good news from both my planting and my dog. He's definitely gotten better, and we think he might have either dislocated his leg, broken his leg, or just really badly torqued his leg.

We don't believe it's anything serious, because he's back to his good moods. Still limping though.

I was able to get out to the garden today, because it was very sunny. There was/is a breeze still though, so it wasn't very warm. Around 64-68 degrees Fahrenheit I'd say. Anyway, I got out and planted around 20 of my pepper (red bell) seeds, and am crossing my fingers that it works out Crossing Fingers!
And, I was able to check up on my succulents. Everything is going fine and dandy in my garden and my house! If you can't tell, I'm a very happy person right haha.

Confession: my son @Johannian wanted to plant the pepper seeds, because it was his idea in the first place to do the pepper seeds, so I gave him instructions on how to do it and he planted them.

Happy gardening everyone!

Unhappy Gardening
Posted on Apr 16, 2020 10:02 PM

Tomorrow I will put my two pepper seeds into pots, following the instructions @LysmachiaMoon sent me. Many thanks to her.

I know the blog post title is: Unhappy Gardening, so you may ask "why is it unhappy for you?". Well, it's because right now my dog (Rusty) could be facing possible death. He might be internally bleeding, and if that is the case, we would most likely have to put him down.

Every time I do something it is constantly on my mind. I try to focus on happier things, but I just can't focus on them, knowing that my dog could be dead soon. I'm preparing for the worst, and just really hoping that everything goes well.
