Hilarious! told you it has feet. Rolling on the floor laughing

It doesn't identify what type. This grown by Costa Farms, maybe I could email them for info.

I will check tomorrow to make sure there's no root rot. Plus I don't like the decorative moss cover on the top and will check quality of media too.

Do I dare to dream? Half of seedpod is growing on my Adenium MD#4? Seedpod is a week old. I hope it will continue to grow. Lovey dubby

I did a light fertilizer, to keep the seedpod on.

Update 9/08/2021: the seedpod split open but it was empty:

So, I went to HD to search for shallow pots and they had 2 seedlings that were not properly repotted Whistling They were in planted deep (see the green showing above the soil line) in the black pot (shown behind the pot). And were full of leaves with no room for proper air circulations.

Thumb of 2021-07-17/GigiPlumeria/061ab5

So i had to take them home and repot them Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing
And here is the finished product, I could not find shallow pots so I am using my orchid pot until I get the real terracotta pots.

@deepsouth, when can I water? I only trimmed the exposed roots lightly.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing that would be a blockbuster!

By the way there is a new feature in NGA that When you upload photos you can add hashtag on the caption so it comes up in searches.

In my caption I added #adeniumseedling. The idea is when members search for adenium seedling or seedling photos will show up. @Australis did I explain it correctly?

P.S. I edited to remove "so".

Hi Gigi,

Very close! The hashtag search only works on complete hashtags (although it is case insensitive), so you would only get results from searching for #adeniumseedling

@deepsouth, any update on your seedpod. My half seedpod on MD Adenium#4 hasn't grown yet or maybe because I look at every day. All the other seedpod bud fell off, so I have a half seedpod growing on one is my adeniums.

New seedlings purchased this weekend.

The 2 small ones are from HD and the right one ($3+ more) is from W. I will use the W Adenium to save the graft cuttings of my MD#6 that has been heavily root pruned

Same plant rebloomed, which I tried to cross pollinate with other adeniums. These are the new seedpods, which are about a week old, and hopefully will not fall off.

1 month old seedlings from last fall's seeds (same momma plant), which I kept in the fridge to keep them fresh.

Thumb of 2021-06-13/GigiPlumeria/2b9ccd

Here is the Momma plant (gift received from hubby Mother's Day 2014) with blooms in April 2021.

I didn't pay close attention to how old is this baby seedling but this could be 4 months old (very small/dwarf) but the Momma plant is very small too. Got neglected so it is just now starting to grow.

Feel free to post your adenium babies here!

@gigiplumeria

Momma plant is so pretty.
Can we store freshly harvested seeds? How ?

Yes, I have been storing my unused seeds in a ziploc bag in the fridge. Especially when I have seeds around winter time and I can't plant them right away.

These fat little trees are just fascinating and so happy looking! I am having really very serious regret about not buying one a couple months ago.

At Tifanny, it is not too late. Now is the next best time to get them while it is still warmer and it can adjust to your area. Whistling

I've had mine 5 since 2015 and I liked them but I was more focused with my plumerias. Now that my plumerias are older and frankly got tired of waiting 5 to 7 years for my seedlings to bloom, I am paying more attention to desert roses. They are smaller and they bloom when my plumerias are not blooming.

TY for the encouragement! If I see one, I'll buy it. They were @ a store about 2 hrs away in FL. I wouldn't mind starting from seed but the only sellers I'm finding in searches are outside the US. Not that I doubt the quality of their seeds, just about the package going through an inspection. Some of them discuss certificates, which add significant cost, and that makes me question the sites that don't mention that. Too complicated and concerning.
