Hello all! It's been awhile since I've posted, nearly a month. Just have been busy with all the settling in and everything, but I thought I'd check in and let you guys know I'm still going to be posting, and definitely more regularly after we've settled in our new house. I felt a little guilty LOL when I saw Terri's latest blog, and thought I should post something.
Really, I've just been situating things, and trying to find out where everything should go in this new house. Decorating for Christmas used to be easy because I knew where everything went, but this year it took about 12 days (usually took about 3 days) to fully decorate the house because I had to find new places for decorations. And then there was my second-youngest son ( @Johannian ) who wanted some of the decorations for his room (he's crazy about decorations), so there was a bit of time taken away with that because he wanted A LOT of the decorations for his room.
For gardening, I haven't done much, but Johannian and I have made some plans for a veggie/fruit garden, a pollinator garden, and a small garden for our cat Honey (with all the herbs cats like). We were used to CA's climate where we could grow pretty much everything, but over here it's definitely different so we have to adjust to it, which might take us a year or two. I'm most bummed about not really being able to grow succulents and cacti, but I'm managing by brining them inside for the winter.
Most of our furniture isn't coming until the end of February, so I'm also waiting for those things to come. Today I'm just going to be cleaning up the house, and maybe I'll take a walk around the property.

It snowed again, and we were happy, but the animals definitely weren't. Our dog (Rusty) hates having to go outside in the snow unless it's with us. Our cat (Honey) is always carefully avoiding the snow (as you'll see in the pictures). I know I've said it before, but the snow is so beautiful! Everything is blanketed in white.
We got a bit of snow last night, about 2 inches or so. Here are two pictures I took from our patio:
